Ralliant Corporation to Establish Global Headquarters in Raleigh, Creating 180 New Jobs

Raleigh, N.C. is set to become the new global headquarters for Ralliant Corporation, a leading provider of precision technologies across various industries. Governor Josh Stein announced the company’s expansion, which will bring 180 jobs and a $2.1 million investment to the North Hills area of the city.

“North Carolina’s technology hub has attracted another great company to our state,” stated Governor Stein. “We welcome Ralliant to the Research Triangle, where they can tap into our highly skilled workforce and workforce training systems to supercharge their business.”

Following its planned separation from Fortive Corporation in early Q3 2025, Ralliant will emerge as an independent public entity. The company, formed from Fortive’s Precision Technologies segment, boasts industry-leading brands and approximately $2 billion in revenue. Known for its precision technologies, Ralliant supports innovation and critical applications in fields such as test and measurement, specialty sensors, and aerospace. Establishing its headquarters in Raleigh will position the company as a hub for future growth.

“Raleigh is an ideal location with its strong high-tech research presence, top universities, skilled workforce, and proximity to our operating companies,” commented Tami Newcombe, President and CEO of Ralliant. “We are excited to build our future here—driving breakthroughs, empowering progress, and shaping what’s next.”

Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley remarked on the decision, emphasizing that, “Ralliant’s decision to establish its headquarters in Raleigh reflects the city’s dynamic economy, highly skilled talent pool, and outstanding quality of life.” He highlighted North Carolina’s strengths in data analytics and IT product development as key factors in attracting companies like Ralliant.

The North Carolina Department of Commerce played a pivotal role in supporting the company during the site evaluation and decision-making process. The new jobs are expected to offer an average salary of $189,479, significantly higher than the current average wage in Wake County of $76,643. This will result in an annual payroll impact exceeding $30 million for the community.

To facilitate Ralliant’s expansion, the state has approved a Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG). This grant, over its 12-year term, is projected to bolster the state’s economy by more than $975 million. The JDIG agreement allows for potential reimbursement to Ralliant of up to $2,630,250, contingent on performance verification of job creation and investment targets.

The initiative promises a 195 percent return on public investment, meaning that for every dollar spent, the state expects to receive $2.95 in revenue. JDIG projects consistently generate positive net tax revenue for the state, even after accounting for reimbursement payments.

As Ralliant chose Wake County for its headquarters, classified as a Tier 3 economic area, the JDIG agreement also allocates $876,750 to the state’s Industrial Development Fund – Utility Account. This fund assists rural communities with infrastructure improvements, leveraging new tax revenues to benefit economically challenged areas across the state.

“We’re excited to see a sophisticated technology company like Ralliant select Raleigh and Wake County for their world headquarters,” said N.C. Senator Jay Chaudhuri. “Their confidence in our region is well-founded, and we look forward to seeing their company put down roots and grow in the Research Triangle area.”

N.C. Representative Tim Longest expressed gratitude towards the collaborative effort made by local, regional, and state economic development organizations in supporting Ralliant’s decision. He noted, “Companies appreciate seeing this level of collaboration, which will continue as the company takes the next steps in establishing its headquarters in Raleigh.”

The project saw collaboration from multiple partners, including the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, the North Carolina General Assembly, the North Carolina Community College System, N.C. Commerce’s Division of Workforce Solutions, Capital Area Workforce Development, Wake Technical Community College, N.C. State University, along with Wake County, the City of Raleigh, and Raleigh and Wake County Economic Development programs of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
